Belmont Village is now opening!

We are very pleased to report that the first of our new duplexes are coming on line in our new Belmont Village subdivision, which is located a block behind the HEB on Valley Mills Drive very near Interstate Highway 35.  This has been a very large and strategic undertaking for our organization, as it involved some major infrastructure and drainage work prior to developing out the building lots. Included in that work was laying an 18-inch diameter sewer line through the subdivision to give immediate relief to that area of South Waco that was experiencing collapsing old clay pipe sewer lines.

This 9-acre tract of land in will have 27 duplexes (54 total units) for lease following the completion of the project.  The strategic location of this project, 5 minutes from major shopping, health care, transportation systems and Baylor, means that these properties will be highly desirable for young and older families as well. 

Each of the units will be 2-bedroom and 2-bath with fenced rear yards.  All of the accessible yards will be maintained by a Home Owners Association (HOA), including fully sprinklered yards for easy maintenance.  Plenty of common areas in the development will ensure plenty of room for tenants to enjoy on their own or with a pet.

We could not have satisfactorily completed this project were it not for our partners Troy Glasson from Waco and Pat Patterson from Temple.  Both of these gentlemen brought plenty of building and development experience to the project, and they have ensured that the project is being completed on time and within budget.  Our general contractor, Holy Contractors, and our banking partners, First National Bank of Central Texas and American Bank have been excellent partners as well.

When fully completed, NeighborWorks Waco will own the majority of the duplexes in this development and will be the manager of the HOA.  The development is being designed for smaller families to enjoy, both young and old.  This very unique development will give Waco families another option for housing that has mostly been unavailable in the past.  We are proud to be the catalyst organization to make it happen!
