There is very little that NeighborWorks Waco’s staff can’t do. Most people know about one or two of our programs and services, but few people are aware of all that we are able to offer. Usually, the shorter version is to tell folks what in the real estate industry we don’t do. Many of people are surprised to learn that we have a licensed mortgage loan officer on staff, and we are capable of doing loans beyond down payment and closing cost assistance loans.
Delisa Burnell-Smith has been a licensed lender for years, doing a variety of lending services. She has at her fingertips a variety of loan products to offer clients, and is dedicated to finding what best meets their needs. Delisa, along with her loan processor and team mate, Laura Arocha, regularly go above and beyond, putting in countless hours and phone calls, to help families achieve their dreams of homeownership.
In fact, it was this dedication that led NeighborWorks Waco to become the only non-profit packager of USDA loans in the state of Texas. It’s also what has led our team to form strategic partnerships that opened the door to a variety of loan products. And, when no loan product met the unique needs of clients, dedication is what led NeighborWorks Waco to collaborate with banking partners in the community to innovatively create new loan products that better reflect the needs of the client.
NeighborWorks Waco’s lending team is second to none. We have helped thousands of families get into homes, and we want to help you! If you, or someone you know, is considering the home-buying process, NeighborWorks Waco is a must. Our homebuyer education and one-on-one financial counseling will empower and equip families with the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their financial goals. Our lending team walks with clients, step-by-step through the process to ensure buyers feel comfortable, informed, and pleased with their homebuying experience. Our construction team works with clients to build the perfect house that fits both your budget and your family.
Our team takes lending—and financial security—so seriously that we recently became the administrators for the Community Lending Coalition for the Heart of Texas (CLC HOT): an employer-based and payroll-deducted program that offers small dollar loans at a low, flat interest rate to borrowers. We hope that our small dollar lending program through the CLC will help combat the pervasiveness of predatory loans like title and payday loans, which can have an average interest rate of 600% or more!
We hope that our myriad of loan products and our professional, friendly staff can help you make your dreams a reality. Contact us today for more information about any of our programs and services at (254) 752-1647. We are a licensed mortgage lender and an equal opportunity lender.
