By Linda Weaver, Board Chair

NeighborWorks Waco recently held a passionate two-day strategic planning retreat with their Board of Directors. JoAnn DePenning Consulting Inc. facilitated the session, guiding the board in developing SMART goals and prioritizing objectives. This builds on a strong foundation of past success, with the board evaluating progress made since fiscal year 2019.

NeighborWorks Waco remains committed to a holistic approach. They work to create opportunities for homeownership, wealth creation, and strong, connected neighborhoods. Community partnerships are essential, and the retreat included highlights of collaboration with Waco Housing Authority, City of Waco, and TFNB. These partnerships help prepare clients for homeownership, a core mission of NeighborWorks Waco since its inception.

Special thanks go to the dedicated board members who volunteer their time and expertise. Their commitment has been instrumental in serving families for over 25 years. NeighborWorks Waco is recognized as a leading housing organization within Central Texas and among the NeighborWorks America network.

Celebrating Leadership and Commitment

Congratulations to our CEO, President Roy Nash, for being recognized by NeighborWorks America for attending the most National Training Institutes (NTIs) – 62 total – within the organization. This dedication reflects the commitment of both Roy and his staff to serving NeighborWorks Waco families.
