NeighborWorks Waco broke ground on our newest subdivision, Belmont Village, in October of 2019. Rising material costs and unusual weather have presented obstacles to construction, but our talented team of builders have impressed at every opportunity! We are proud to announce that our first unit came available in February 2021!
Belmont Village is the result of a partnership between NeighborWorks Waco, Troy Glasson, Pat Patterson, and the City of Waco. It represents 54 brand new, beautifully and sustainably built rental units. Each unit will be at market price, though NeighborWorks Waco does accept housing subsidies.
Every rental unit owned and operated by our organization is considered a Homeownership Incubator, meaning that we encourage and incentivize our renters to build towards homeownership. In fact, any NeighborWorks Waco renter is allowed to break their lease without penalty if it is to purchase a home. We offer financial counseling and education services to our tenants, often providing motivating incentives to encourage the development of the sustainable financial habits that lead to homeownership.
Renters in our Belmont Village properties will enjoy state-of-the art, energy-efficient 2 bedroom/2 bath homes.
